Color Guard and Honor Guard

The Kenner Police Department has assigned police officers to serve as the Color Guard or Honor Guard on an as-needed basis.  The Color Guard presents the flags during the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem at events such as  football games, awards ceremonies and city events, and has also appeared in Jefferson Parish's Irish-Italian parade.

The Color Guard consists of six officers: two riflemen and four other officers to carry the American flag, the State of Louisiana flag, the City of Kenner flag and the Kenner Police Department flag.  The Honor Guard performs processional and pall bearing functions at funerals and memorial events.

To inquire about having the Color Guard or Honor Guard at your event, contact the Kenner Police Department at 712-2200.
