Disturbance call leads to guns and drugs

 

KENNER On April 27, 2010, Kenner Police responded to a disturbance call at 708 Blair Street. As police officers were arriving on scene, several subjects were observed running into the trailer at this location. Officers received information from a concerned citizen that there were possibly drugs and guns in the trailer, so they obtained consent from the owner to search the trailer. When officers searched the trailer not only did they find several individuals inside, but marijuana, crack cocaine, heroin, and two semi-automatic handguns. Officers believed that based on the packaging and individual dosage amounts of the drugs, it was consistent with illegal distribution. One of the handguns had an obliterated serial number. Two of individuals arrested lived in the trailer.    

The following individuals were arrested for the following offenses:

1.      Dominic Lee, age 23, of Kenner, illegal possession of 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession with intent to distribute 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession of 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, illegal possession of 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession with intent to distribute 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. (In 2004, Dominic pled guilty to marijuana possession)

2.      Trechell Evans, age 27, of Kenner, illegal possession of 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession with intent to distribute 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession of 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, illegal possession of 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession with intent to distribute 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. 

3.      Brian Reed, age 28, of St. Rose, illegal possession of 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession with intent to distribute 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession of 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, illegal possession of 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession with intent to distribute 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

4.      Dashawn Armstrong, age 25, of St. Rose, illegal possession of 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession with intent to distribute 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession of 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, illegal possession of 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession with intent to distribute 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. (In 2007, Dashawn pled guilty to cocaine possession)

5.      Lavone Lee, age 19, of New Sarpy, illegal possession of 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession with intent to distribute 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession of 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, illegal possession of 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession with intent to distribute 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

6.      Erin Carter, age 25, of LaPlace, illegal possession of 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession with intent to distribute 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession of 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, illegal possession of 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession with intent to distribute 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

7.      Jamie Robertson, age 29, of LaPlace, illegal possession of 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession with intent to distribute 15.6 grams of marijuana, illegal possession of 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, illegal possession of 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession with intent to distribute 13.7 grams of heroin, illegal possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.  

Officers Keenan Jackson and Edwin Yeager are in charge of the investigation.
