LaPlace man arrested in reference to Kenner stabbing

 

KENNER - With the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, a LaPlace man wanted for attempted second degree murder has been arrested.  Gerard Sterling, 23, who provided the home address of 3044 English Colony Drive, LaPlace, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force. 

On May 23, 2010, Sterling was identified as the person who stabbed an acquaintance in the 1700 block of Lloyd Price Street in Kenner.  Sterling approached the victim from behind and started a physical altercation with the victim.  He then stabbed the victim four times.  The victim suffered three stab wounds to the rear torso (back) and one stab wound to the head.  

Sterling remains in custody.  At the time of this news release no bond has been set.
