MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED

KENNER - With the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force a Kenner man wanted for murder has been arrested.  Durrell Brown, 38, was arrested this date (May 19, 2010) by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, in Chicago, Illinois.  Once extradition proceeding are complete, Durrell Brown will be returned to Kenner, where he will be charged with the crime of second degree murder. 

Durrell Brown was wanted for a murder that occurred on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at 0115 hours.  Durrell Brown forced entry into a home of a former girlfriend in the 3100 block of Bainbridge Street, in Kenner.  Once inside, Durrell Brown attacked 38 year old, Herbert McGee of Kenner, who was sitting on a couch inside the residence.  McGee was stabbed multiple times.  McGee’s death was pronounced on scene.
