CHIEF STEVE CARAWAY AND DARLENE CUSANZA OF CRIMESTOPPERS TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE IN THE 600 BLOCK OF FARRAR AVENUE, KENNER. CRIMESTOPPERS WILL BE ANNOUNCING AN INCREASE IN THE REWARD FOR A DOUBLE HOMICIDE THAT OCCURRED ON JUNE 17, 2010.

KENNER - Chief Steve Caraway and Darlene Cusanza will be holding an 11:00 A.M. press conference today, July 12, 2010, in the 600 Block of Farrar Avenue in Kenner.

Darlene Cusanza of Crimestoppers will be announcing an increase in the reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons that are responsible for the double homicide that occurred in Kenner on June 17, 2010.

On June 17, 2010, Kenner Police responded to a report of gunshots in the 600 block of Farrar Avenue where they located a black 2002 Mitsubishi that had crashed into a tree. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered the bodies of Charles Davis and Hermaina Ellsworth.  They also discovered a three year old child that was seated in the rear seat.  The two victims shot inside the vehicle were pronounced dead on scene.  The child received no injuries from the gunshots fired into the vehicle, but received a lacerated liver as the result of the vehicle crash. 

Members of the victims’ families have been asked to attend the press conference.
