KENNER POLICE SEEK ASSISTING IN IDENTFYING

DRIVER OF HIT AND RUN VEHICLE

 

Kenner -  On April 25, 2011 at approximately 6:17 P.M., a Hispanic male was operating a green expedition or explorer in the 2600 Blk. of Huntsville Street in Kenner. The vehicle struck and rolled over a 3 year old child. The vehicle fled the scene and was last seen on Huntsville traveling northbound. The child received moderate injuries in the accident.

Investigating officers were able to obtain a name of the driver, Salvador Martinez. Mr. Martinez is believed to be a native of Mexico. Investigating officers located a local construction company where Mr. Martinez was working as a day laborer. The construction company was able to supply a photo of Mr. Martinez used for a company ID. However the company claims to have no other documents on Mr. Martinez.

Numerous checks have failed to locate any additional information for Mr. Martinez.
