Kenner man arrested in residential burglary
Kenner- A Kenner man has been arrested after he was found to have pawned property from a residential burglary in Kenner. On Thursday, June 06, 2013, Charles Davis, 22, of 4231 Iowa Avenue, Kenner, was arrested after the Kenner Police Department learned that he had pawned stolen property taken during a residential burglary that occurred on May 11, 2013, in the 4300 block of Lake Trail Drive, in Kenner.
Davis during interview, admitted to Detectives Jessica Cantrell and Shane Tilford that he was acquainted with the victim family, knew the family was away on vacation, and had forced entry into the garage area of the home which gave him access to property inside the home. Davis stole a tool box, video recorder, iPhone, and various tools. In addition, Davis also admitted to a second theft from the home earlier in the month in which an Xbox gaming system was removed from the home.
Davis was charged with the crimes of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and theft. At the time of this press release, Davis remains in custody, no bond has been set.
