Kenner Police Department investigating fatality

 Kenner - The Kenner Police Department is investigating a traffic fatality which occurred in the 3800 Block of Williams Boulevard, in Kenner. 

 At approximately 8:57 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014, the Kenner Police Department responded to a hit and run in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 3800 block of Williams Boulevard.  Upon officers arrival they discovered a 60 year old, Kenner woman had been struck by a vehicle that fled on Williams Boulevard.  The victimís death was pronounced on scene. 

 While investigating this fatality, the Kenner Police Department received a telephone call in which an 84-year-old male, who was driving a 2003 Lexus 300, claimed he struck something or someone on Williams Boulevard.   Investigating officers relocated and seized the vehicle involved in the fatality crash.  The fatality remains under investigation.   The victimís identity will be released once family notifications are complete.
