Narcotics search warrant leads to seizure of prohibited reptiles

 Kenner - On Friday, April 25, 2014, the Kenner Police Department Narcotics Division executed a narcotics search warrant at 628 Vouray Drive, apartment A, in Kenner.  As the result of the search warrant, detectives arrested Jesse Nuzzo, 20, who resided at the location for possession of marijuana 21.6 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

 It should be noted during the search of the residence, detectives located 1 ball python snake, 1 rat snake, 1 speckled king snake, 3 Western ribbon snakes, 1 Western Diamondback rattlesnake, 2 Green water snakes, 1 broad-banded water snake, 1 Southern black racer snake, 1 Canebrake rattlesnake, 1 Southern Copperhead snake, an one Boa.  Due to the fact some of the snakes are poisonous and are considered prohibited reptiles pursuant to City of Kenner Ordinances, the reptiles were taken to Audubon Zoo. 

 Nuzzo was released from the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, Saturday (April 26, 2014), on a $30,500.00 bond.
