Intermediate lane closures on I-10 in Kenner scheduled Sunday morning

Kenner - On Sunday, December 14, 2014, between the hours of 6:30 a.m., and 9:00 a.m., motorists can expect intermediate lane closures eastbound on I-10 between Loyola Drive and Williams Boulevard, in Kenner.  The closures are needed to complete the scene investigation into the pedestrian fatal hit and run that occurred on the I-10 in Kenner, on Monday, resulting in the death of Reyes Joel Gomez-Castro, 32.

Kenner Police are still looking for a white tractor trailer truck that was traveling eastbound on I-10 without the trailer at the time of this incident.

Should traffic back up on the I-10 eastbound; motorists are encouraged to exit Loyola Drive, to Veterans Boulevard, and then re-enter the interstate at Williams Boulevard, in Kenner.

Kenner Police Chief Michael J. Glaser urges anyone who may have witnessed this hit and run fatality or may have information concerning Reyes Joel Gomez-Castro as to his whereabouts prior to the fatal hit and run on the I-10, to call Kenner Police Traffic Investigators; Sergeant Jon Cryer or Officer John Terranova at (504) 712-2236, Kenner Police Department (504) 712-2222, or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
