Kenner man arrested concerning robbery at Raymondís Jewelers

 Kenner - On December 3, 2014, at 4:55 p.m., the Kenner Police Department responded to Raymondís Jewelers, located at 4103 Williams Boulevard, in Kenner, in reference to a robbery complaint.  Officers responding learned that a black male had entered the store and began looking at a fleur de lis pendant which was placed by behind the counter.  Once the pendant was placed behind the counter the black male, jumped onto the counter and snatched the pendant and fled the store. 

  Kenner Police Officer responding to the complaint located the suspect running in the 1700 block of 42nd Street.  After a short foot pursuit and the suspect resisting officers, he was arrested. 

 Arrested was Tajah McGee, 21, who provided the home address of 1717 42nd Street, apartment A, in Kenner.  McGee was charged with simple robbery and resisting and officer.  At the time of this press release, McGee remains in custody; no bond has been set.
