KPD to Hold Annual Doll and Toy Fund Giveaway in December - Donations are being accepted

Kenner - The Kenner Police Department will hold their annual Doll and Toy Fund giveaway in conjunction with the Times-Picayune on Monday, December 15, 2014. 

 

Each year, the Kenner Police Department presents Christmas gifts to underprivileged children living in Kenner.  The Doll  and Toy Fund was designed to support such gift-giving and to help fulfill the Christmas wishes of deserving children.  To register underprivileged children living in Kenner, please contact the KPD Community Relations Division at (504) 712-2294 or (504) 712-2395, no later than Monday, December 1, 2014.  

 

In addition, the Kenner Police Department, along with Wal-Mart and the Esplanade Mall, will be accepting donations for this year’s Doll & Toy fund from now until Monday, December 1, 2014.   Toys need to be unwrapped and appropriate for children infant to 12 years old.  Drop boxes will be placed at the following locations:

 

Kenner Police Lobby 500 Veterans Boulevard (Open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Monday thru Friday)

 

Wal-Mart:  8912  Veterans Boulevard            (Open from 6 a.m. to midnight)

                   300    West Esplanade Avenue       (Open 24 hours) 

                   3520 Williams Boulevard             (Open 24 hours)

 

Esplanade Mall: 1401 West Esplanade Avenue  (Open from 10 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)

 

If an individual wishes to make a monetary donation they can contact KPD Community Relations Officer Ninoska Guggenheim at (504) 712-2294 or via email at nguggenheim@kennerpd.com .  

 

For those living in Kenner who wish to donate new toys and are unable to travel to a drop box location, they are asked to contact the Kenner Police Department at (504) 712-2222, and arrangements will be made for an officer to pick up the toys.
