Kenner Police attempting to identify robbery suspect

 Kenner - The Kenner Police Department is seeking the publicís assistance in identifying a robbery suspect.  On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at approximately 1:28 p.m., one suspect, described to be a black male, wearing all black, black gloves, black hat, and a lime green reflective vest entered the International Food Store, located at 3200 Georgia Avenue, in Kenner.  The suspect immediately went around the counter and began beating, a 45-year-old female cashier.  In addition to physically beating the victim, the suspect grabbed a liquor bottle that he used to beat the female victim. 

 After the beating, the suspect demanded money, which he obtained and was seen fleeing the store location on a bicycle east on 32nd Street.  An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the business.  Surveillance photographs of the suspect are attached to this press release.  The suspect was possibly armed with a gun. 

 Due to the beating, the victim was transported to a local hospital where she was found to have a broken nose, lacerations, and contusions to her body.
