Kenner Police investigating traffic fatality

Kenner - The Kenner Police Department is investigating a traffic fatality involving a pedestrian.  At approximately 8:19 p.m., Monday, September 08, 2014, the Kenner Police Department responded to a traffic crash involving a pedestrian in the 2500 block of Reverend Richard Wilson Drive, in Kenner.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Rachelle Guillory, 30, of Kenner, for unknown reasons ran in into the path of a 2002 GMC Yukon which was traveling in the right eastbound lane on Reverend Richard Wilson Drive.  Guillory was struck by the front driverís side portion of the vehicle.   Guillory was propelled into the adjacent lane of travel.  Guillory was transported to the LSU Interim Hospital in New Orleans where her death was pronounced.

The driver, a 33 year old Metairie man was not injured in the crash.  Neither driver impairment nor speed is suspected to be a factor in this fatality crash.
