The male juvenile was arrested after it was learned he brought an Airsoft gun to school in his book bag that he removed; shooting one female student in the leg with a pellet, and a second in the stomach.

The juvenile who was charged was transported to the Jefferson Parish Juvenile Assessment Center where he remains in custody pending a continued custody hearing in Juvenile Court.  In addition, school officials have suspended the student from the school.   The student arrested was not identified in this news release because he is a juvenile.  Victims were 12 year old females, no injuries were reported, and both refused medical treatment.
