Kenner man injures ex-girlfriend during domestic altercation

 Kenner - On Thursday, January 29, 2015, Christopher Horton, 48, who provided a home address of 727 Minor Street,  Kenner was arrested and charged with the crime of aggravated second degree battery involving domestic violence.  The arrest is concerning a domestic incident that occurred on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in the 3000 block of Washington Street, in Kenner. 

 On Wednesday, Horton was involved in a verbal altercation with this 41-year-old ex-girlfriend of “many years,” which escalated when he retrieved a skillet from the kitchen of the victim’s home and struck her multiple times in the head and arm.  The victim was transported to Ochsner Kenner where she was diagnosed with a fracture to her right arm, and had contusions to the right side of her forehead. 

 Christopher Horton was later located in the 700 block of Minor Street, Kenner, where he was taken into custody.  At the time of this press release, Horton remains in custody, no bond has been set.
