Kenner Police seeking publicís assistance in locating vehicle and hit & run driver

 Kenner - The Kenner Police Department is seeking the publicís assistance in locating what is believed to be a newer model black sports utility vehicle, driven by an unknown person that was involved in a hit & run involving a five-year-old child (female) at Hans Avenue and Taffy Drive, in Kenner.    

 At approximately 6:23 p.m. the Kenner Police Department was dispatched to the location in reference to a small child struck by a vehicle.  Upon officersí arrival and interviewing witnesses, they advised that the child was crossing the street when she was struck by a black sports utility vehicle.  After striking the child, the suspect vehicle accelerated and was last seen fleeing east on 34th Street in Kenner. 

 The child who was conscious and alert was transported to a local hospital with moderate non-life threatening injuries.
