The investigation revealed for unknown reasons, the 19-year-old was walking westbound across Williams Boulevard not in the cross-walk, when she was struck by 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling south on Williams Boulevard.   The 19-year old was transported to a local hospital where she remains in an induced coma, with a lacerated liver, and several broken bones.

The driver of the Dodge Ram was a 61-year-old male from Luling.  At the present time driver impairment is NOT suspected to be a factor in this crash which remains under investigation.
