4th arrest concerning murder investigation

 Kenner - On Thursday, January 28, 2016, the Kenner Police Department arrested, Ahkemon Bardell, Jr., 19, who provided the home address of 1713 Greenwood Drive, in Laplace.  Bardell was charged with the crime of criminal conspiracy to armed robbery.  Bardell was identified as the fourth person who Kenner Police Department was attempting to identify in reference to this investigation.  Bardell had conspired to commit a “rip” (robbery) to acquire marijuana, with Martin, Perrilloux, and Hall.   After planning the robbery, the four drove from Laplace to Kenner.  Both Martin and Perrilloux were armed with handguns.  Martin and Hall met with Dayan Sanchez and an unknown male, to acquire marijuana Sanchez was selling / distributing.  During the illegal drug transaction, Martin and Sanchez were involved in a shooting which resulted in the death of Martin.  Kenner Police are still trying to identify the person who accompanied Sanchez to the illegal drug sale.  At the time of this press release, Bardell remains in custody, no bond has been set.
