Three arrested for Criminal Damage to Property which occurred in Chateau Estates

 Kenner - Between July 2nd and July 3, the Kenner Police Department received multiple complaints of criminal damage in the Chateau Estates subdivision in Kenner.  Captured on numerous video surveillance systems was four individuals, spray painting “D-boy,” “D-girl,” “WOT,” and “F**k the police” on various residents’ driveways, fences, mailboxes and city signage in the 4200 block of Beaujolais Drive, 4200 block of Pommard Drive, 600 and 900 blocks of St. Julien Drive, 4100 and 4200 blocks of Lorie Drive, 4200 block of Rhone Drive, and the 600 block of Vintage Drive.   Surveillance photographs were released to KPD officers and posted on social media by residents who reside in the area. 

 On July 7, 2016, at approximately 5:02 p.m., KPD conducted an investigatory stop on three subjects in the 600 block of West Esplanade Avenue, in Kenner.  The three subjects were identified as a Sergio Siller (20 years old) of 60 Avant Garde Circle, Kenner, Darein Granier (20 years old) of 4213 Arbor Court, Kenner, and a fifteen-year-old juvenile female from Boutte. All three subjects were identified as being the suspects captured on video surveillance in the criminal damage complaints in the Chateau Estates subdivision that was reported July 2nd and 3rd.

 After the three subjects were taken into custody, Sergio Siller was found to be in possession of a .38 caliber handgun, located in his back pack and Darein Granier was found to be in possession of .5 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

 The three were transported to the Kenner Police Department and all three confessed to being the individuals involved in spray painting on various residents’ driveways, fences, mailboxes and city signage.

 The juvenile was charged with 12 counts of criminal damage to property valued under $500.00. Sergio Siller and Darein Granier were both charged with 12 counts of criminal damage to property valued under $500.00 and 12 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Sergio Siller was additionally charged with illegal possession of a firearm and Darein Granier was additionally charged with illegal possession of a CDS and drug paraphernalia.

 During the investigation a fourth suspect involved in these incidents was developed, however no information is on file to substantiate the true identity of that individual.  This investigation remains open.
