South Carolina fugitives arrested in Kenner

Kenner - On Friday, June 23, 2017, members of the Kenner Police Department SWAT team, Criminal Investigations Division, and U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Task Force located and arrested two fugitives, wanted by the Horry County Police Department, located in South Carolina.

 Arrested are:

Ryan Nicholas Graham, 27.  Graham was wanted for the crimes of armed robbery, kidnapping, conspiracy, attempted murder, and probation violations.

Symaria Jeona Shannon, 18.  Shannon was wanted for the crimes of armed robbery, kidnapping, conspiracy, and attempted murder.

On Friday, the Horry County Police Department contacted the Kenner Police Department and informed them of the possible location of the two fugitives.  The Kenner Police Department confirmed that the two fugitives were inside a hotel room at the Econo Lodge, located at 2125 Veterans Boulevard, in Kenner.  The Kenner Police Department SWAT team, Criminal Investigations Division and U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Task Force responded to the location and surrounded the hotel.  While at the hotel, Graham first emerged from the room he occupied with Shannon and walked toward a rental vehicle they were utilizing when members took him into custody without incident.

Shortly after taking Graham into custody, Shannon exited the same hotel room in an effort to locate Graham, at which time she was taken into custody without incident.   The Kenner Police Department executed a search warrant on the room that both suspects had occupied and located a gun believed to have been used in the shooting in Horry County.   Both Graham and Shannon were booked as fugitives and transferred to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center to await an extradition hearing.
