September shooting suspect arrested in Metairie

 Kenner - On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, located and arrested Bernest “Tubby” Johnson, 29.  Johnson was located at a girlfriend’s apartment, located at 700 N. Elm Street, apartment C, in Metairie.

  Johnson was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant which charged him with the crimes of attempted second degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, felony carrying of weapons, and illegal use of weapons.  

 Johnson was arrested concerning a September 2, 2016 shooting that occurred outside the Lincoln Manor apartment complex located at 1013 31st Street, in Kenner.

 At the time of this press release Bernest “Tubby” Johnson remains in custody; no bond has been set.
