Kenner man arrested for multiple vehicle burglaries

KENNER  Between August 23 and August 27 there were seven vehicle burglaries in the Highway Park neighborhood of Kenner occurring in the 3000 and 3100 blocks of Iowa Avenue, 3200 block of Maine Avenue, and the 3400 block of Massachusetts Avenue.  All the burglaries occurred between 1:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Based on neighborhood video surveillance evidence detectives were able to identify Kiane Friloux, 18, Kenner as a suspect.

A search warrant was executed at Friloux’s residence and property and other evidence such as a firearm were found.  It is unknown as this time if the recovered firearm was stolen.

Friloux was arrested and charged with seven (7) counts of Vehicle Burglary and one (1) count of Theft of a Firearm.  The theft of a firearm is not related to the handgun found in Friloux’s residence.

Friloux confessed to all seven of the vehicle burglaries and the theft of the firearm.

The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may follow.

Kenner Police Chief Michael J. Glaser urges anyone who has any information about these incidents to call the Kenner Police at (504) 712-2222 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
