Temporary Traffic Control for Krewe of Driftwood Parade

Kenner In order to safely facilitate the Krewe of Driftwood Parade, the following temporary traffic control systems are established for Saturday, February 16, 2019.

 Beginning at 8:30 A.M. entry into the Staging Area is limited to residents with proper identification or a placarded parade participant’s card.  This will remain in effect throughout the duration of the event.  Additionally, the following temporary “One-Way” street designations are as followed:  

·         Idaho Avenue between Granada Drive and Vintage Drive designated “One-Way” traveling north from 8:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

·         Martinique Avenue between Granada Avenue and Monterrey Drive  “One-Way” traveling east 8:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

·         Monterrey Drive will be “One-Way” eastbound 8:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

·         Coronado Avenue will be “One-Way” eastbound 8:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

·         Granada Drive between Martinique Avenue and Gelpi Avenue designated “One-Way” westbound 8:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

  “No Parking” zones begin at 10:00 A.M. and are enforceable throughout the duration of the event.

 The parade route north of Driftwood Boulevard will close to vehicle traffic at 11:30 A.M. and will remain closed until the conclusion of the parade. Residents who reside in this area will be granted entrance until 12:00 P.M. 

 The remainder of the parade route to include Driftwood Boulevard, Antigua Drive, and Emile Avenue will close to vehicle traffic at 12:00 P.M.  Residents with proper identification are going to be allowed entrance until 12:30 P.M. At that time, the route will be completely closed to all vehicle traffic until the conclusion of the parade.
