Kenner Police seek public assistance in locating suspect wanted for felony warrants

 

 KENNER  Luis Gonzalez, 48, Kenner is wanted for Purse Snatching, Felony Theft, Bank Fraud, Computer Fraud and Monetary Instrument Abuse.  Gonzalez also has outstanding felony warrants from other area law enforcement agencies and Miami Dade Police Department in Florida.

aaaaa In October 2018, the accompanying video surveillance picture was released to the media for assistance in identifying the suspect of a purse snatching.  Kenner Police received overwhelming response from the public in identifying the person depicted in the video surveillance photo.  The victim of the purse snatching later identified Gonzalez from a lineup as the perpetrator.

 Gonzalez was also identified as a suspect in a Bank Fraud investigation in which he stole mail from a mail box and cashed personal checks and money orders by fraudulent means.    

 Luis Gonzalez has a criminal history in Louisiana and Florida involving arrest for narcotics, possession of stolen auto, aggravated assault and possession of stolen things.  

 Officer Katherine Stroyewski and Detective Nick Engler are the lead investigators.
