Kenner Police investigating a traffic fatality

 KENNER  Kenner police are investigating a two car accident involving a fatality.  The accident was reported at 12:30 PM and occurred in the 2400 block of West Esplanade Avenue eastbound, near the intersection with Lake Trail.

 Both vehicles were travelling east bound on West Esplanade Avenue when the accident occurred.  The first vehicle swerved off the roadway and struck a power pole in the 2400 block of West Esplanade Avenue, killing the driver. 

 The second vehicle lost control and struck a second power pole at the intersection of West Esplanade Avenue and Lake Trail, cutting the power pole in half.  The second driver was injured and is being treated on scene unknown at this time if that driver will be transported to a hospital.  Drivers of each vehicle were the only persons involved there were no passengers in either vehicle.

 Witnesses are being interviewed at this time.  The cause of the accident has not yet determined and is still under investigation.
